Our commitment

ABC Aesthetics Medspa wants every patient to be able to use this website, whatever technology they browse with and however they navigate. We treat accessibility as part of patient care, not as an afterthought.

What we aim for

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. That is a target we build towards and review against, rather than a certification we hold.

What we have done

Steps taken so far on this site include:

  • Headings, lists, and landmarks marked up so screen readers can move through a page by structure.
  • Every meaningful image given alternative text, and decorative images hidden from assistive technology.
  • Menus, accordions, sliders, and the photo gallery reachable and operable by keyboard alone.
  • Text and background colours checked for contrast, and text that resizes without the layout breaking.
  • Visible focus on links and buttons, so keyboard users can see where they are.
  • Motion and animation reduced automatically for anyone whose device asks for reduced motion.
  • Layouts tested from small phones through to large desktop screens.

Known limitations

We are aware of the following, and are working on them:

  • Some content embedded from third parties — such as mapping and booking tools — is outside our control and may not meet the same standard.
  • Older photographs supplied to us may carry alternative text that is briefer than we would like.
